My first attempt to run GMER resulted in my computer freezing from overload, the second run started off smoothly but out of nowhere my computer crashed to a blue screen 30 seconds in to the scan. DDS ran fine and I will attach the logs, but GMER would not run. therefore, I had to run DDS and GMER scans in safe mode and I hope this does not affect the accuracy of the scans. Scared of having my computer bricked, I havent ran it outside of safe mode since. I am no expert on combating viruses and everything I've considered trying has failed. System restore, Windows Security Center, Windows Network utilities, Services.msc, none of it will let me do anything.
While in safe mode, I am finding everything has been disabled on my computer. I knew something was wrong and I restarted and ran safe mode. My internet was down, my desktop background was blank, my taskbar/window theme was some ugly windows 95 looking mess. Unfortunately over the next few days things got worse, and eventually I couldnt run scans anymore. All of them seemed to find bugs and deleted them, and I thought i had caught it. I ran a Malware Bytes scan, AVG scan, and I think even Avast. I first noticed the infection when my internet had been disabled. Whatever scans/programs I'm required to run I will be transferring from a flash drive and running in Safe Mode (Don't forget this when helping me! ) on my HP Windows Vista Machine.
